Guest Speaker at an Elementary School:

- 04/03/2015

"A few days ago, I was given the impromptu opportunity to guest speak at an elementary school about positive reading, writing, and my book, in front of more than 1,200 students, teachers, staff, and parents.  I had one night to prepare for the speech and had to juggle the massive tidal wave of tests and projects due for my own classes too. Luckily, I wasn't too nervous when the time came (I enjoy public speaking to an extent) but I think I still have room for improvement! . .." -Rainye Day

Synopsis of Snowspirit: The Virgo key

With the help of the traitorous thirteenth horoscopian, a powerful demon god has trapped the rest of the twelve gods of horoscopes. Together, the demon and the traitor are biding their time as they plan to take reign of the universe. Without the twelve horoscopia, the protectors of the galaxy, nothing seems to stand in the way of the demon's wrath.

Twelve-year-old Elia plays no part in this otherworldly power struggle—until a mysterious Snowspirit enlists her to retrieve the Virgo key, the first step in saving the horoscopia and preventing doomsday. Elia and her dog, Troy, embark on a terrifying journey across a scorching desert, where her biggest enemy is the wild. With the odds stacked against her and the world depending on her, Elia must prove she is qualified to join the Snowspirit's team of twelve—and survive impossible conditions as she journeys alone to find the Virgo key.
